England Squad
The 2019 Cricket World Cup will be held jointly in England
and Wales . The
tournament will be hosted by the Twenty20 tournament. After the World Cup in 1975,
1979, 1983 and 1999, the competition is going to be the 5th time in England
and Wales . In
the competition from May 30 to July 15,
2019 , the participation of 10 teams has been mentioned in March 2015.
In April 2006, England
and Wales were
honored with host country status. As part of the 2015 Cricket World Cup, the
World Cup cricket tournament was jointly held in Australia
and New Zealand
as the withdrawal of their application from the country's auction process.
The
first game will be held on Oval and the final game is held in London
for the fifth time since 1975, 1979, 1983 and 1999.
The group-stage matches of the 2019 Cricket World Cup
tournament will be held in round-robin mode. Ten teams participating in this
episode will be contested against each other in the same group. Each team will
take part in nine total games. The group's top four teams will reach the
knockout stage and play semi-finals and finals. The same process was adopted in
the 1992 Cricket World Cup.
After the attack on Pulwama in February, 2019, Indian
military forces attacked against Pakistani militants. After that several former
Indian players and Indian Cricket Control Board did not host the India-Pakistan
World Cup group stage campaign, including the ban on Pakistan
from the World Cup competition. However, in the press conference in Dubai ,
the International Cricket Council (ICC) rejected the BCCI's proposal to ban Pakistan 's
World Cup. Despite the ongoing tension between the two countries, it was
informed that the pre-scheduled play was organized.
